Walking on the ice: excitement guaranteed!<\/b><\/h3>\n

Emmanuel remembers exactly how he felt on his <\/span>Antarctic cruise,<\/b> starting with how he felt when he <\/span>first set foot on the sea ice<\/b>! The excursion was carefully organised on board with the expedition team. Passengers were briefed to leave no trace <\/span>on the White Continent<\/span><\/a>. Here, it is all about observing and respecting the environment. The first thing Emmanuel felt was the sea ice moving slightly. How strange! But soon, the <\/span>discovery of this \u201cwhite paradise\u201d<\/b> was interrupted by a big surprise\u2026<\/span>

The big blue<\/b><\/h3>\n

\u201cFwissshhhh\u201d: a deep, unknown sound, like a giant exhaling, attracted the attention of our passenger. He couldn\u2019t believe his eyes: there, nearby, <\/span>a blue whale emerged from the water<\/b>, taking a look at the small group. Everyone was in awe, overwhelmed by emotion. How could this imposing mammal, weighing some 200 tonnes, move so gracefully? How could you tear your eyes away from this <\/span>fascinating show<\/b>? A show expertly performed <\/span>by the cetacean<\/span><\/a>, which disappeared and reappeared several times.<\/span>

Memories to last a lifetime<\/b><\/h3>\n

Back on board the ship, all anyone was talking about was, of course, <\/span>this fantastic experience<\/b>. But what Emmanuel cherishes everyday is the bond and <\/span>connection created between the passengers and the PONANT crew<\/b>. A real relationship formed, and their discussions were always exciting! The couple returned from their adventure with a travel journal filled with the words and drawings of the naturalist guides and profoundly changed by <\/span>\u201cthe experience of a lifetime\u201d<\/b> they had during this trip.
